How to Complete Water Temple Spinning Tower Puzzle in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

The kingdom of Zora has been suffering since the Upheaval. They have been plagued by a mysterious Sludge which is spoiling their sacred waters. As a part of that quest, you will eventually reach the Water Temple. There, you will need to reactive the ancient valves via a series of puzzles. While most of these puzzles are rather straightforward, the very last one seems the be troublesome for most players. Namely, players don’t know the solution to the Spinning Tower puzzle at the Water Temple. So, what do you need to do, how to stop it?

To be perfectly frank with you, we’ve managed to achieve this with sheer dumb luck. Namely, some players have simply spammed arrows at the tower until they have managed to hit the crystal/switch inside the Spinning Tower’s top part. The upper part has three walled sides, and one open. And inside is a thing you will need to hit in order to stop the Tower. While we had a lucky shot, there’s actually an easier (and correct!) solution.

What you need to do is to place some of the surrounding Hover Stones (antigravity platform) with your Ultrahand where best suits you. We advise you to make some kind of stairs so that you can reach as high as you can. Then, from the highest platform, jump and aim towards the Tower with your bow. This will stop time, and if the correct side is turned towards you, you will be able to hit the switch inside it and stop the tower.

Once you stop the Spinning Pillar in the Water Temple in Zelda TOTK, the water around you will recede. This will reveal the final water-mill-like structure. From there, continue your quest. And don’t forget to collect the chests around you!
