Where to Find Stealthfin Trout Locations in Tears of the Kingdom

To find the locations of Stealthfin Trout in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom or TOTK, you need to look in the waters surrounding Great Hyrule Forest. Specifically, there is a little corner east of Rauru Hillside where they seem to appear quite often. The exact coordinates are 0738, 1604, 0127. We recommend that you come at night, because despite their name, the Stealthfin Trout actually emit a soft glow in the dark. There’s also a small island in Lake Saria (0064, 1908, 0164) that you can stand on and fish in the lake itself. However, in our experience, that little corner near Rauru Hillside is definitely the best place to go. That’s where we caught the one in the image above.

And there you go, that’s where you can find Stealthfin Trout locations in Zelda TOTK or Tears of the Kingdom. Now that we know that, what are they for? Well, their in-game description reads: “Consuming the bioluminescent compounds that makes this fish glow in the dark will increase concentration. Dishes cooked with it will suppress noise when consumed.” In other words, cooking and eating a Stealthfin Trout in a dish (or on its own) will increase Link’s stealth. Pretty handy if you like to sneak around Hyrule like myself. Before we wrap up, reminder that there is no fishing pole in Tears of the Kingdom. Use some Yellow ChuChu Jelly to just electrocute everything in the water.
